Ms. Roothaan has 25 years of experience in the environmental field ranging from teaching individuals how to reduce their environmental impact to conducting environmental audits for industry. She has taught thousands of individuals and organizations throughout the United States and Mexico on varied topics from personal footprint reduction to industrial pollution prevention and Environmental Management Systems (EMS). She is published widely on many topics including organizational culture change, environmental cost accounting, and pollution prevention technologies. Ms. Roothaan is a certified ISO14001 Lead Auditor, holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. In addition, she is the recipient of numerous awards, including the White House Closing the Circle Award for Greening the Government.

Elizabeth Frisch

As a Senior Trainer for A Nurtured World, Elizabeth Frisch develops new initiatives to help individuals and organizations reduce their environmental impacts. She has 20 years of experience in project management, auditing, training, and developing environmental programs that deliver results. An entertaining speaker who openly shares the struggles of living ‘la vida verde’, Elizabeth has delivered workshops to audiences across the United States to over fifty different industries, local, state, and federal government, schools throughout the U.S., non-profits, military services, and individual citizens. She is a chemical engineer and is known for her work in organizational culture change to drive performance in businesses, communities, and organizations.

As a Senior Trainer, Justin Murrill provides training on topics ranging from consumer conservation to building world class commute solutions programs. He has five years of experience directly managing an award winning commuter benefit program for a Fortune 500 company with locations in both the U.S. and Canada. He has provided training to hundreds of businesses, organizations, school districts, and individuals and consistently receives rave reviews. Justin also works with organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors to increase operational efficiency and reduce environmental impacts. He holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Ethics at St. Edwards University.

Amy Chamberlain

Amy Chamberlain has more than 7 years of experience organizing stakeholders around environmental and health issues. She has built networks of stakeholders to advocate and take action in their own organizations. These actions have had far-reaching results, including measurable reductions of environmental impacts within the Bryker Woods Elementary School community over the past four years and St. Francis School since October 2011. Recognized by Austin Business Journal as a finalist for 2009 Green Advocate for making Bryker Woods Elementary “one of the greenest schools in Austin,” Amy also has lead the effort for the school to earn the City’s Environmental Awareness Award for 2010 and a record-setting fifth Keep Austin Beautiful Longhorn Recycling Round-Up award in 2011. In addition, Keep Austin Beautiful recognized Bryker Woods Elementary for its waste reduction in its 2010 Annual Awards. Under Amy's direction, Bryker Woods Elementary students placed as one of three Runners Up in "America's Home Energy Challenge" in April 2012. The team was the only PTA-organized team in this challenge.

Dieudonne Dang

Dieudonne has over 23 years of professional experience in business, government and non-profit organizations. After a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Financial Management, he started his professional career as a partner in a real estate concern in London England, which led him to the field of Venture Capital Funding, specifically in the area of commercial real estate in England and South East United States. He has spent the last 11 years working for the regulatory departments of two Texas State Government Agencies. In the Department of Family and Protective Services he lead the creation of a guardianship financial system to secure and help manage assets owned by adults who were/are made wards of the State as a result of financial exploitation. He is currently working for the Department of Aging and Disability Services as a program analyst.

Scottie Aplin

Scottie has over 17 years of experience as a lawyer working on environmental, health, and safety laws and management systems throughout the State of Texas, the United States, and overseas. Scottie is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, College of Law and is licensed in Oklahoma and Texas. She has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross where she was a First Aid/CPR volunteer and international humanitarian law instructor, an armed services volunteer, and a Holocaust and war victims tracing volunteer. Scottie has also served as the Programs Coordinator for the Military and Civilian Spouses Club, a philanthropic organization focused on supporting and assisting active duty military personnel and their families. Currently, she is the Chairman of the Environmental Stewardship at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church and is a member of the Interfaith Environmental Network Energy Action Team. She currently works for the Public Utility Commission as a staff attorney. Her current work is in energy law where she works on transmission line, rate and energy efficiency cases, customer protection projects, and renewable energy issues.

Grace Hsieh

Grace holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Business Foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked for the Pollution Prevention Division at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. There she provided pollution prevention and EMS (Environmental Management System) assistance to manufacturing and industrial facilities throughout Texas. She also has experience in onsite construction and pre-construction, primarily in the field of advanced technology. Currently Grace serves on the board of the Austin Resource Management Commission, the Habitat Young Professionals and the Green Building Council (USGBC) Balcones Chapter. She currently works as a Program Specialist with CLEAResult, a consulting firm that works with utility clients to design, implement and evaluate cost-effective energy optimization programs.

Lucy Stolzenburg

Lucy holds a B.A. in Journalism and Holistic Health and Wellness Education from Metropolitan State College in Denver. She worked in the Austin and Dripping Springs real estate community for 12 years and was an early community member of the Austin Energy Green Building program. She has worked for the Texas Solar Energy Society (TXSES) for five years, and is the co-coordinator of TXSES and Austin Energy's Green Building Annual Cool House Tour. She is currently the Acting Executive Director of the Texas Solar Energy Society.
