Teacher Workshops

With funding from the Environmental Protection Agency, A Nurtured World has adapted our Consumer Conservation Curriculum to meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards for middle school math, science and English Language Arts. We have provided train-the-trainer workshops for Texas teachers with the following results:

• Average savings of $1,723
• Average CO2 reductions of 1.5 per person
• $24,120 total in savings
• Totals of 601 gallons of gasoline conserved, 42,967 pounds of carbon dioxide eliminated, 1,241 cubic feet of trash eliminated or recycled, 18,078 KWhr of electricity conserved, 271 CCF of home fuel conserved, and 155,940 gallons of water conserved
